Shipping
Domestic UK Shipping:
We deliver to all addresses within the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland). Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days and shipped via Royal Mail in the first instance. Standard delivery times within mainland UK are usually 2-5 business days, but remote areas (including Northern Ireland and Highlands) may take longer. If no specific delivery date is agreed, we will ensure delivery within 30 days of your order. In the rare event we cannot deliver within this 30-day period (and no longer time frame was agreed), you have the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund. All UK delivery charges (if any) will be clearly shown at checkout and include applicable UK VAT under the Value Added Tax Act 1994. We are responsible for the goods until they are delivered to you – risk and ownership pass to you only once you or someone appointed by you takes physical possession. This means that if our contracted carrier loses or damages the parcel before it reaches you, we will assume responsibility and arrange a replacement or refund. If, however, you request to use your own third-party courier, risk passes to you at the point we hand over the goods to your courier.
International Shipping (EU & Worldwide):
We offer international delivery to many countries. Shipping fees and transit times vary depending on destination and will be calculated at checkout. EU Shipments (Post-Brexit): Since Brexit, orders shipped from the UK to EU countries are treated as exports and will require customs clearance. We will attach all necessary customs documentation to your parcel, including detailed descriptions and values of the items, to comply with export laws. We do not charge UK VAT on orders delivered to addresses outside the UK, including EU destinations. The price you pay us for the product will be UK VAT-free if shipped abroad; however, import VAT (and any applicable duties) may be levied by your country’s customs authority upon import. Buyers are responsible for paying any import VAT, customs duties, or handling fees required by the destination country’s laws. For orders shipped into the EU, the courier will typically notify you of any import charges (e.g. VAT at your country’s rate, and duties if applicable) which must be paid by you before or upon delivery. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. If you decline to pay such import charges and the package is returned to us, we can refund the product price but reserve the right to deduct any return shipping fees or customs return fees from your refund.
Non-EU International Shipments:
Orders to non-EU countries (USA, Canada, etc.) will similarly be shipped DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid). You are considered the importer of record and must comply with all local import requirements. Any import taxes, duties, or brokerage fees are your responsibility. We will declare the value and contents of an international shipment accurately; we cannot mark orders as “gift” or undervalue the items to avoid customs fees.
Customs, Duties & Brexit Implications:
Following the UK’s departure from the EU, all goods moving between the UK and EU are now subject to customs procedures and checks, unlike the pre-2021 free movement of goods. This means that an order from the UK to an EU country (or vice versa) may incur customs duties depending on the product origin and value. The UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement allows many goods of UK origin to enter the EU without tariffs, but if your order includes items not qualifying under “rules of origin” or if you are in a country with its own trade tariffs, customs duty might apply. As a general rule, low-value orders may not attract duty, while higher-value shipments could – for example, the EU may impose duty above certain value thresholds (and the UK imposes duty on imports above £135). We advise EU customers to familiarize themselves with their country’s import duty thresholds and rates. Northern Ireland: Owing to the Northern Ireland Protocol, shipments between Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales) and Northern Ireland may also involve customs declarations. We will handle Northern Ireland orders in compliance with applicable regulations to ensure a smooth delivery. Customers in NI should receive their orders without import VAT (as NI remains aligned with the EU VAT area for goods) but may need to provide additional information if requested by carriers. Rest assured, we have adapted our logistics to meet all new post-Brexit requirements and will provide any needed information to customs authorities.
Delivery Timeframes (Non-EU):
Estimated delivery times for international orders are as follows: Europe: approximately 5-10 business days; North America: 7-14 business days; Rest of World: 10-20 business days. Please note these are estimates and actual delivery can vary due to factors outside our control.
Brexit-Related Delays:
Deliveries to EU countries (and some other destinations) may occasionally face delays due to new customs checks and clearance procedures implemented after Brexit. Carriers and border agencies are adjusting to the additional documentation and protocols, which can mean transit takes longer than it did prior to 2021. We ask for your patience in such cases. If your parcel is delayed in customs, we will assist as far as possible (e.g. providing any additional paperwork required), but we cannot expedite the customs process itself. During peak seasons or due to global events (e.g. pandemic restrictions or carrier backlogs), both domestic and international deliveries might take longer than usual. We will communicate any known significant delays on our Shipping page or via email notifications. If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier. In accordance with your legal rights, if we fail to deliver within 30 days (or within an agreed extended period) you may cancel the purchase for a full refund as noted above. Partial deliveries: If your order contains multiple items and we ship them separately, the delivery date for the last item will count as the final delivery for purposes of any cancellation rights.
Shipping Liability:
We insure or take responsibility for goods in transit until delivery to you (or your designated recipient). This means if items are lost or damaged prior to receipt, we will arrange a replacement shipment or refund at no extra cost to you. Please inspect the package upon delivery. If you notice serious damage to the outer packaging, you may refuse the shipment and notify us so we can handle the return with the carrier. If you find an item is missing or damaged after accepting delivery, inform us within 48 hours if possible. We may require photos of any damage to assist with our claim against the carrier. We will work with you to resolve such issues promptly in line with your consumer rights. Note that once the goods are delivered and in your possession, responsibility for loss or damage transfers to you. After delivery, please take reasonable care of the items. We are not liable for loss or theft after delivery is completed (for example, if a package is stolen from your doorstep after delivery, that risk lies with the customer). If you ask us to leave an order in a safe place or with a neighbor, responsibility passes to you once the item is left as instructed. We cannot be responsible for courier delays or failures beyond our control (e.g. incomplete or incorrect address provided by the customer, recipient not available, or extraordinary events affecting transport networks); however, we will help liaise with the courier to resolve any issues. Our liability for any failure to deliver by a particular date is limited as described in the Terms & Conditions section below, but we will always either fulfill the order or refund per your rights.
Customer Responsibilities (Shipping):
Please ensure that the shipping address you provide is correct, complete, and accessible. We will not be responsible for delivery problems or losses arising from incorrect addresses or recipient information provided by the customer. If an order is returned to us due to an address error or because it was unclaimed (e.g. you were not available and did not rearrange delivery or collect it from the depot within the carrier’s hold period), we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. Additional shipping charges may apply for re-delivery in such cases. You are responsible for complying with any local import laws and requirements – for example, ensuring the products you ordered are not prohibited or restricted in your country. If documentation or identification is required by customs or the carrier (for instance, a national ID or EORI number for import), you agree to promptly provide such information. For international orders, you as the importer will need to pay any customs duties and VAT as explained above; failure to do so will likely result in the package being held or returned. By ordering, you agree to pay these fees and to cooperate with customs if necessary to clear the goods. We cannot be held responsible for packages abandoned or destroyed due to unpaid charges or lack of required information from the customer. In the event you arrange your own shipping or pickup, you (or your agent) must collect the goods from our facility and handle all transport; our responsibility ends once we hand over the goods to you or your agent’s custody. Lastly, please retain any shipment documentation and receipts; in case of a return or issue, this information may be needed to assist you.
